FINANCES. What We Believe

It's OK To Escape

Proverbs 18:10 The name of the LORD [Yahweh] [is] a tower of strength:the righteous runs to it, and is high [above danger]. (AMIV)
Having one of those days? You do not need to fight every battle alone. Instead, escape into His presence!

I am a woman, a wife and a mother who just so happens to be an Apostle

The journey that at Apostle takes is not an easy one and one of the first things you realize is that your personal life, your hobbies and your ministry are not separate entities! They are intricately entwined and without having success in all three, you will fail on every turn.

On my ministry website www.colette-toach.com you can read more about my walk as an Apostle and everything that the Lord did to get me to this point. There you will also find more information for your ministry.

However on this site I want to share the more personal side of myself and the things that shaped me into the woman I am today.

The Lord has blessed me with both spiritual and natural family. I truly understand the passage where Jesus said to Peter,

Mark 10:29 And Jesus answered and said, Truly I say to you, There is no one that has left house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's,

30 That will not receive a hundred times now in this [kairos] [life] time, houses, and brothers, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the age to come eternal [zoe] life. (GMRV)

There are many things I have had to give up for the ministry and although some were painful, they were never filled with regret. When you have a fire in your heart to do the work of God, it burns stronger than any opposition you canexperience.

I must confess that there were days when I said to myself, "This is not worth it. For years you pour out and give to others who return it by turning away from you and betraying you." There was more than one occasion where I wanted to run. I understood Apostle Paul suddenly when I read:

1 Corinthians 9:17 For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, an administration [of the gospel] is committed to me. (GMRV)

My little tantrum lasted only a day or so though! Because by the next morning, the fire of God still burned in me. When that desire is in your heart, it means more to you than the food you eat or the clothes you wear. You will certainly pay the price.

I could never understood those who said they had a calling but complained every day about how horrible it all was. Sure the training is tough...but bring it on! It only takes me closer to my goal!

Ministry and Personal Life are Entwined

My heart burns to see leaders from every walk in life enter into what God has for them. To not just have success in their ministries, but in their personal lives as well. To have a marriage that is red hot and a family life that is full of life!

As a woman, being in leadership can be tough, but where would I be without the fullness of my femininity? Being a woman in leadership does not mean sacrificing who you are, but rather relying on it entirely. This is my message to the Body of Christ on this site.

To bring everything together in your hobbies, personal life, image, relationships and goals for the future under one umbrella. To confront the natural things so that the spiritual things can have more life!

What I Do in My Spare Time

Yes I know it is hard to imagine that I actually HAVE spare time, but it is true. During these times I love lots of music, fantastic photo opportunities and grand adventures with my family. Each of these skills and hobbies have only made my ministry more effective.

A picture says a thousand words, so I will leave you with a few of the most important people in my life. My family...but more importantly my ministry team!

My husband and I have been married since 1995. By our second year anniversary we had 2 children and by our third anniversary saw ourselves on an airplane bound for Mexico. This was the first of many adventures to follow.

Toaches having fun

Craig and Colette Toach2011

My kids are central to my life. Each with a powerful calling, they are still very down to earth, fun loving and a joy to be around. I guess they have not had very ordinary lives being the children of Apostles. They love to make new friends, try new foods and travel to new places. Ok...so they picked up a few things from their folks...:)

Michael, Deborah, Rebekah, Jessica

Deborah-Anne Danae Toach

My eldest with a love for languages and meeting new people. She is also an avid book reader and if she is not coming home having made a new friend, she has her nose stuck in a book on the sofa.

Jessica Leila Toach

While Debs is making friends, Jess is befriending their dogs. It is a standard joke. The girls would come home from the park and the first thing I would hear from Jess would be.."Mom today I made a new friend!" to which she would add,"And Debs made friends with their owner."

Jessica Toach

Rebekah Jade Toach (Ruby)

My youngest daughter and probably the loudest. Born just a few days after one of our conferences, the loud music must have stuck and she has not stopped singing since. A bubbling socialite who is remembered by everyone she meets.

Michael William Toach (Mikey)

Michael has his father's looks and his mother's nature! A pure expressive, he has recently learned that "Jesus is in my heart" Born August 6th 2009 he is the last addition to our family. There are a nearly 8 years between he and Ruby. He keeps Craig and I young and we look forward to see everything that he will accomplish for the Lord!
